Privacy Policy
How Terravium collects, uses and protects your information — written to be read, not to be survived.
1. Who we are
Terravium (“Terravium Digital”, “we”, “us”) is an independent digital magazine published online, worldwide. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit terravium.site (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
You can reach us at any time: Email: hello@terravium.site · Phone: +92 300 0000000 · WhatsApp: wa.me/923000000000.
2. Information we collect
- Information you choose to send us: when you use the contact form or a subscribe form, your details are delivered straight to our editor’s inbox (hello@terravium.site) through the FormSubmit relay service (formsubmit.co) — we use them only to reply to you or to add you to the daily dispatch list you asked for. Nothing is stored on this website itself.
- Automatic information: we run no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising networks. Like virtually every web host, our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (which can include IP address and requested pages) for security and troubleshooting. We do not use them to profile you.
- What stays on your device: to make the live news sections load instantly, your browser caches the day’s public news headlines (the same headlines everyone sees) in local storage for about ten minutes. This contains no personal information, and you can clear it any time via your browser settings.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we never ask for passwords, financial details or national identity numbers on this Site. There are no user accounts, no databases of readers, and no API keys or secrets anywhere in this website.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your messages, pitches and corrections — by email, phone or WhatsApp, however you contacted us.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We do not share it with advertisers, because there are none.
4. Advertising
Terravium is ad-free by design. We do not display third-party advertising and we do not set advertising cookies. If we ever introduce advertising or sponsorships, this policy will be updated first, with full details of the partners involved and the choices available to you.
5. Pinterest and social buttons
Our stories carry ‘Save to Pinterest’ buttons and links to our social profiles. When you click one of these buttons, the relevant platform (Pinterest, Facebook, X, WhatsApp) receives information about that action — for example, the page you are saving. These platforms operate under their own privacy policies. We do not share your data with them directly; the interaction happens only when you choose it.
6. Cookies
This website sets no cookies — no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no preference cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is a short-lived cache of the public live-news headlines (see section 2), which is not a cookie, contains nothing personal, and disappears when you clear your browser data.
7. Data retention and security
We store no reader data — there is no database of visitors, subscribers or messages on this website. The only data our server holds is the public live-news content it fetches from open sources (BBC, Wikipedia) and re-displays; it is cached for minutes at a time and contains nothing about you. For security, this site uses no API keys or embedded credentials that could be leaked, loads no third-party tracking scripts, and the only third-party asset it displays is web fonts (Google Fonts). Messages you send us by email are kept only as long as needed to handle your query.
8. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to: confirm what personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; or stop communicating with you. Write to hello@terravium.site or use the contact form, and we will action your request promptly.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
Our stories and pages contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies before providing them any information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
